Research has revealed that neglected potholes, late rubbish collection and expensive parking are some of the country's biggest council complaints.
OnePoll conducted an online poll of 2,000 adults to find out how satisfied the nation is with its public services, and these were some of the results:
- 50% of respondents think their council tax bill is too high.
- Three times as many people believe their politicians act in the best interests of themselves, compared to those who believe they act in the best interest of their town.
- Six in 10 are unhappy with the time it takes their local council to repair holes in the road.
