Are you prepared for the threat of drones?

[INFOGRAPHIC]
Of those industries that are seen as particularly at-risk of unlawful drone use, nearly 62% claim they may require counter-drone solutions but are only "somewhat aware" of the solutions on offer

Dear Colleague,

Defence IQ surveyed a global database of people working in unmanned aerial vehicle/counter-drone technology developments. We asked them whether they believed the threat is really as serious as many suspect and if the commercial sector is ready for major security incidents resulting from malicious or accidental drone intrusion.

The results were quite shocking, with most participants citing their lack of awareness around current regulations and counter-drone technologies, despite recognising the dangers drones pose to airports, prisons, nuclear facilities, and other public spaces. Although results have improved from the 2016 survey, there is still a long way to go.

Countering Drones Event

If you found the infographic relevant to your line of work and you want to find out more about counter-drone systems and real-life case studies then please take a look at the agenda for our Countering Drones summit.

The event takes place in London between the 12th-14th December and will be bringing together cross-industry experts to discuss this emerging security threat. Those attending recognise that this is an issue that looks set to only get worse as civil drones proliferate more, and are looking to implement strategies now.
