GREENFLEET365 is here to help fleets and businesses in the North West continue to purify the region’s air quality, by bringing the UK’s most knowledgeable experts online to discuss and debate the essential strategies needed to clean up the North West region, and the rest of the UK.
GREENFLEET365 North West enables you to learn more about the government’s Road to Zero strategy, including grants and incentives… The clean vehicle technology available now, and what’s to come in 2020/21 and beyond … We finish by covering the hot topic of infrastructure and supply, including workplace charging.
Why? Because now more than ever as the effects of the Coronavirus Lockdown ease the government remains under a legal obligation to clean up the air across the country and as it commits to keeping any delay to Clean Air Zones as short as possible it is vital that preparatory work to draw up local air quality plans continue for businesses.
Join us online, at 10.00am, on 25th June.

The event will have 3 x dedicated Sessions.
|
SESSION 1: The National & Regional Strategy
Hear from Office for Low Emission Vehicles, who will outline the Road to Zero strategy and provide insight into the grants and schemes available to help pave the way to a shift to cleaner fleets. The region itself comes under the spotlight with an overview piece from UK100, before we get into more detail, looking at the two largest cities in the area – Manchester and Liverpool. These will be covered by TfGM and Local Energy North West Hub.
|
SESSION 2: Clean Vehicle Technology
SMMT take centre stage in Session 2, as we look at the vehicles themselves and the role that clean vehicle technology has to play, in terms of cleaning up the air in any region. Hear more about hybrid, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen vehicles, from Toyota (GB) plc. We then look at the commercial vehicle workhorse, critical in most UK fleets, but is the clean technology out there? Maxus UK will showcase their two electric vans, large and small, both capable of more than 120 miles on a single charge, fully-laden. And we wrap up with Kia Motors UK, who are taking the fleet sector by storm with their PHEV and EV range.
|
SESSION 3: Charging & Infrastructure
We close by looking at the infrastructure required to ensure that the North West can cope with the proposed shift to cleaner vehicles. National Grid will outline what the UK is doing and how ‘The Grid’ will cope, and for the public sector, we have the very latest on the new ‘Charging & Infrastructure’ Framework, courtesy of Crown Commercial Service. We wrap up with a look at workplace charging, together with an insight in to how to utilise existing infrastructure to integrate charging, with ubitricity.
