Meet the Speakers

Over the next few weeks, we will be putting the spotlight on each of the experts that will make up the speaker panel for CTB365's October event -  Event Management Security.

This week, we start with Gary Simpson, Director of Security, ASM Global.

Gary joined ASM Global in 2018 to support the business in creating amazing experiences grounded in world class security.

Responsible for developing and implementing ASM Global’s European Security Strategy, Gary works closely with event venue teams and is involved in every aspect of making ASM Global’s arenas, stadiums, conference & exhibition centres and theatres safe and secure.

Before joining ASM, Gary worked at Manchester United Football Club, ensuring all aspects of event safety and security at Old Trafford, as well team operations across the UK and abroad.

Gary spent many years with the military and the police, most recently in the Greater Manchester Police. His focus was specialist operations including assessing risks, co-ordinating and developing plans to mitigate potential criminal and terrorist threats to public events and major operations.

To venues including the first direct Arena, Leeds, Utilita Arena, Newcastle, The Friends Arena, Stockholm, Manchester Arena, and the Vaudoise Arena Lausanne in Switzerland, Gary brings his skills, insights and relationships developed over the years.
