Commercial GREENFLEET returns 23 September, 9.30am with a packed programme of industry experts.
With air quality at the top of central and local government agendas, traditionally fuelled commercial vehicles are rapidly becoming unviable in UK cities.
The wider availability and lower running costs of electric and alternatively fuelled light commercials, vans, trucks and HGVs can now offer fleet managers a solid business case for moving towards a zero carbon fleet.
Commercial GREENFLEET is here to connect fleet managers and those responsible for transport in the private and public sectors with electric and alternative fuel specialists, government departments, trade associations, low carbon trailblazers and technology innovators.
Hosted by Andy Eastlake, Managing Director of LowCVP, Session One will look at Policy and Incentives where Office for Low Emission Vehicles will be with us to tell us about the UK Government’s strategic perspective of transitioning to Zero Emission Vehicles. They will be followed by Natalie Chapman, Head of Urban Policy at Logistics UK talking about decarbonising how we get our goods.
Session Two: ‘Electric – A Solution for Commercial,’ will feature a case study from Marcus Helliwell, Sourcing Developer at IKEA, discussing their plans to be zero emissions by 2025. Sponsors Maxus will showcase their latest electric van technology, Sam Clarke, Chief Vehicle Officer at GRIDSERVE will discuss solving the EV charging challenge with supercharged Electric Forecourts and Dean Hedger from Sponsors The AA will talk about vehicle and chargepoint service, maintenance and repair.
Session Three will consist of a choice of four breakout sessions each with a consultant expert. You can choose between Data & Technology, Charging & Infrastructure, Retrofit VI or Sustainable Vehicles. You’re free to visit whichever breakout session suits your needs or dip in and out of as many as you like.
The Final Session – ‘Business Case for Alternative Fuels’ will see us joined by Antony Green from National Grid to discuss hydrogen for clean transport and Graham Thomas, Fleet Operations Manager for Ocado to talk about Biomethane for HGVs
