When it comes to the electrification of transport, not many regions can boast a better network than Scotland… And GF365 plans to help YOU #StayConnected this August with an online event that will outline the next steps towards Net-Zero.
Supported by Transport Scotland and Energy Saving Trust, 13 August will see GREENFLEET Scotland staged for the 12th time… but this time, online! 2009 saw us venture north for the first time, and our collaboration has seen some serious changes in that time.
At first, it was all about low-carbon diesel and hybrids, with ‘electric’ in its infancy. Two years in, in 2011, Nissan launched the LEAF to the UK market, and the shift to electric began. Only 635 cars were sold in 2011, so things were moving slowly, but in 9 years, by the end of 2019, EVs held a 1.6% overall market share and some 37,850 were sold that year!
So, what next? Clean Air Zones… Low Emission Zones… Clean Air Strategies… Electrification Strategies… Buzzwords flying around over the last few years, but how is YOUR business going to be affected? Sessions 1 and 2 of the Scotland event will go some way to helping you map out your own pathway and later in the week we will give you a taste of the solutions that are available.
Here's what you can expect on 13 August, starting with Governance & Finance…
