The NET ZER0 ROADSHOW travels North virtually in a few weeks time for GREENFLEET North East

4 March, live online on GF365

After a very successful first leg, last week, GREENFLEET takes the NET ZER0 ROADSHOW to the North East, next month for leg two. We will discuss what's been happening locally and explain what help and advice is available to you and your fleet to help you with your net zero strategies.

With the news of the government bringing forward the date to end the sale of petrol and diesel cars, there has never been a more important time to start getting your fleet prepared for the future.

GREENFLEET North East is your chance to network with fellow fleet professionals, take part in polls and get your questions answered by the experts.

We will be joined by UK Government and event partners Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, who will outline the support they can provide for the take-up of plug in vehicles, as well as funding to integrate chargepoint infrastructure.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) will join us to talk about public sector purchasing frameworks, from vehicle manufacturers and leasing, through to charging and infrastructure.

The SMMT who represent the motor industry will explain what work is going on from their members – the vehicle manufacturers, to ensure that the coming technology is future-proof and will help all of us reach net zero.

National Grid will also be on hand to talk about the energy sector and how it is getting prepared.

Joining us for 2021 is the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), the fleet industry’s premier membership organisation which embodies the combined strengths of two of the industry’s most prolific organisations - ACFO and the ICFM. AFP will be on hand to share best practice, let you know how they can provide advice and guidance on operating an efficient fleet and enhance your personal development and career prospects with education and training programmes.

We also have a case study from Mitie. Their Director of Sustainability, Social Value and Fleet will explain how the company met its 2020 goal of switching 20 per cent (790 vehicles) of its small van and car fleet to electric models three months ahead of schedule and tell us about their Plan Zero commitment to achieving net zero carbon by 2025.

We will hear about the latest vehicles from Volvo, Salary Sacrifice will be covered by LeasePlan and all your charging need and questions will be covered by Connected Kerb.
