GREENFLEET North East
The online event helping UK fleets reach Net Zero
4 March, live online on GF365
With the news of the government bringing forward the date to end the sale of petrol and diesel cars, there has never been a more important time to start getting your fleet prepared for the future.
GREENFLEET North East is your chance to network with fellow fleet professionals, take part in polls and get your questions answered by the experts.
You will hear from UK Government and event partners Office for Zero Emission Vehicles who will outline the support they can provide for the take-up of plug in vehicles, as well as funding to integrate chargepoint infrastructure.
We'll hear about the work that's been going on in the local area as we are joined by Durham County Council's Low Carbon Economy Team Leader and Electric Vehicle Officer, who will share how they've been electrifying their fleet and tell us about their big focus on making sure they get their charging infrastructure right, including their Innovate UK SOSCI (Scaling On-Street Charging Infrastructure) Project.
We also have a case study from Mitie. Their Director of Sustainability, Social Value and Fleet will explain how the company met its 2020 goal of switching 20 per cent (790 vehicles) of its small van and car fleet to electric models three months ahead of schedule and tell us about their Plan Zero commitment to achieving net zero carbon by 2025.
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) will join us to talk about public sector purchasing frameworks, from vehicle manufacturers and leasing, through to charging and infrastructure.
The SMMT who represent the motor industry will explain what work is going on from their members – the vehicle manufacturers, to ensure that the coming technology is future-proof and will help all of us reach net zero.
National Grid will also be on hand to talk about the energy sector and how it is getting prepared.
Joining us for 2021 is the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), the fleet industry’s premier membership organisation which embodies the combined strengths of two of the industry’s most prolific organisations - ACFO and the ICFM.
We also have expertise from vehicle manufacturers Volvo, charging specialists Connected Kerb and LeasePlan join to tell us about salary sacrifice... here's a quick taster of what they can offer...
