emergency GREENFLEET

The online event looking at the electrification of the UK Emergency Services Sector

April 8, 9.45am, live online on GF365

emergency GREENFLEET returns next week to deliver key information to help the police, fire and ambulance sectors as they journey through their electrification strategies.

As the UK government continues to drive home the ‘Net Zero’ message and brings forward the date of the ICE vehicle ban from 2040 to 2030, the UK fleet sector is trying to keep pace and make the necessary changes. The ‘blue light’ sector is no different, in that sense, but where it does differ is in the challenges it faces, outside of the normal ‘vehicle choice’ conundrum.

Session One: Policy Purchasing & Incentiveswill cover all the latest updates, with an overview from Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, BlueLight Commercial are 'Thinking Green as we move out of Lockdown' and Crown Commercial Service discuss public sector purchasing frameworks, which includes a case study of GREENFLEET Awards 2020 winners - Gloucestershire Constabulary.

Session Two: Clean Vehicle Technology & Acquisition. We'll be joined by Toyota & Lexus Fleet to discuss HEVs, PHEVs, EVs & FCEVs… a drivetrain for every area of your fleet and a case study from London Ambulance Service, explaining what the future of blue light vehicles looks like.

Session Three: Best Practice on the Road to Net Zero. Association of Fleet Professionals will provide a guide to best practice and we have a presentation on the all-encompassing clean fleet service from Babcock international.

Session Four :  Charging Infrastructure - Planning & Implementation. National Grid join us to talk about powering the emergency services. Joju Charging discuss work place charging solutions with case studies from Leicestershire Police, NHS Surrey and Borders Partnership and Avon Fire and Rescue Service. BMM Energy will then join us to talk about electrfying the blue light sector, with case studies from NHS Blood and Transplant, Scottish Fire and Rescue and West Mercia Police.

Each session will finish with a Q&A, where you can put your questions to the experts.

emergency GREENFLEET  is your chance to get all the help and advice you need on your net zero journey. You can also network with fellow fleet professionals and visit our virtual EXPO.

We do hope you will join us for what promises to be the most informative series of online events for the UK Fleet Sector this year.
