Maintaining safe and healthy environments in NHS buildings is critical, and tackling issues like damp and mould is a key part of this effort. With over 1,140 hospitals and 7,500 primary care sites across the NHS estate, these facilities face unique challenges due to high humidity levels and multiple water sources, which make them particularly vulnerable to moisture-related problems. A concerning report from the Nursing Times recently highlighted the severity of the issue, with NHS staff being forced to deliver difficult news to patients in rooms affected by mould, water stains, and even holes in the ceiling. This situation underscores the urgent need for action to improve building conditions and ensure patient safety and comfort.

To address these challenges, we are proud to introduce the event Managing Maintenance in NHS Buildings: Guidance on Damp and Mould.
