Emergency GREENFLEET

British Motor Museum • 19th October

Emergency GREENFLEET is an informative event that addresses Emergency Vehicle fleet requirements for non-frontline police, ambulance and fire services.

There will be seminars running across the day highlighting optimal strategies to combat the unique issues in the emergency sector. There will also be the chance to network and hear from other blue light professionals who have made and are making significant strides in their electrification journeys.

New for 2023: Because the Army, Navy and Air Force are also subject to the same targets, but share very similar issues and challenges to those from the blue light sector, we will also open our doors to the UK MOD. We give you Emergency & MOD GREENFLEET.

Chris Rutherford

Next Generation Ambulance Program Lead, London Ambulance Service NHS Trust

With a passion for sustainable transport Chris has experience of running an internationally award winning ‘green fleet’. At the London Ambulance Service, Chris sponsors all major fleet projects whilst developing an ultra low emission, emergency response fleet.

Chris has also led the national project to develop a zero emission electric ambulance and worked to replace all vehicles in the Trust with zero emission alternatives. This is particularly challenging due to vehicles being required for service on long shifts often with short breaks, the capacity to accommodate power lifesaving equipment and be suitable for any type of emergency.
