GreenFleet magazine - redesigned!
Welcome to this issue of GreenFleet, which has been redesigned to improve our readers' experience of our digital format. The aim was to make our insightful content easier to read on whichever device you use, and to include more engaging videos and images.
This issue focuses on electric vans and overcoming the barriers that van fleet operators face when switching to zero-emission vehicles.
We cover the recent announced changes to the operating requirement for heavier zero-emission vans up to 4.25 tonnes. This includes the removal of the training requirement and allowing vehicles to tow an equal amount to their diesel equivalent.
Zemo Partnership, meanwhile, discusses the challenge of getting consistent and reliable information when buying a new battery electric van. Their investigation has led to a 'wish list' of data requirements that should be included on sales listings for battery electric vans.
We also interview Robert Peto from FedEx Express UK, to find out how the company’s getting on with its electrification plans, as well as Evri's head of fleet, David Landy about the company's continued commitment to creating a sustainable fleet.
Elsewhere, we hear about an innovative project from Anglian Water which sees the company trial the production of green hydrogen from wastewater, which can then be used as a fuel for heavy vehicles.
I hope you enjoy the issue.
