NEW RELEASE:

Counter Terror Business 60

View the latest issue here

Celebrating our 60th issue of Counter Terror Business, we look back at the history of the magazine and terrorism and counter terrorism over the last 14 years. Pauline Norstrom, who wrote in our first issue back in 2010 looks at what has changed in biometrics and AI-driven security over that time.

With Martyn's Law now making its way through parliament, Nick Aldworth gives an update on where we are now and what we can expect and hope for going forward. We've also got an article analysing counter-terrorism legislation around the world.

The PSSA will also look at the challenges of securing public spaces around event venues – what is known as Zone Ex – and who is responsible for this.

With police recently warning of an epidemic scale of offending in violence against women and girls and the new government planning to halve it, CTB investigates the extent of the challenge and what is being done to combat it.

Christian Schneider discusses HVM for event security and the NPSA looks at hostile reconnaissance.

We've also got features on cyber security, social media, Prevent Duty, and public safety.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to let you know that this will be the final issue of Counter Terror Business magazine. We will continue to share regular news and features on our website, where we can provide updates more promptly than through a quarterly publication. We would like to thank all of our readers and contributors for their support over the last 14 years and look forward to seeing you at some of our events in the new year.
