With the current Green Plans approaching their expiration, the NHS has published updated guidance urging all Trusts and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to refresh their plans by 31 July 2025. These plans must:

  Receive board-level approval
Be published on the organisation’s website
Be shared with NHS England/Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)

To address the next period toward net-zero, eligible organisations will also need to report under the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) framework.
